Comics creator Nic Carcieri, parent of an autistic child, organized a black-and-white, comic-book-format book called “Bots.” All proceeds from the sale of the book would benefit autism research.

I was very sympathetic to the book’s mission and took to creating an art piece for it. I was excited for inclusion at all, but I must admit I was ecstatic when I found my piece published alongside Tim Sale’s piece. Tim Sale is the award-winning artist of Batman: The Long Halloween (among a ton of other things), and one of my favorite comic book illustrators.
