Up-and-coming advertising whiz Marie Suplido approached me to do three comic strips for a leave-behind publication she would use as a promotional item for potential job opportunities. Her goal was to create something fun-yet-contemporary, and really leave a feeling of her personality and passion behind for the prospective employer.
I took her loose scripts, proposed a few visual metaphors and penciled the strips. These pencils were then scanned and completed in Adobe Illustrator as vector illustrations using largely outline-less blocks of color to get a very pop, appealing look. The typefaces are by Nate Piekos at Blambot.
